Better systems start with better questions.

A closer look at how I approach complex work across HR technology, data, integrations, AI product thinking and operations. The details here are intentionally generalized to respect client and employer confidentiality.

WORKDAY / GLOBAL OPERATIONS↑ Back to top

Making global absence work across local rules

Supported global absence work spanning 26 countries, with roughly 80 leave plans and more than 20 holiday calendars.

26countries
~80leave plans
20+holiday calendars

The challenge

Global absence management is not a configuration that can be copied country to country. Rules, eligibility, entitlements and holiday calendars need to work for local employees without creating unmanageable administration.

My approach

  • Reviewed and worked through plan structures, localized requirements and eligibility behavior across a large multinational footprint.
  • Approached configuration and testing by separating global patterns from local exceptions and paying attention to the employee and administrator experience.
  • Worked with cross-functional stakeholders on validation, rollout readiness and ongoing support.

What the work established

Supported a rapid, multi-country rollout and established a stronger foundation for understanding and supporting complex absence configuration. The numbers describe project scope, not claims of quantified savings.

Focus areas: Workday Absence · Localization · Configuration · Testing · Stakeholders

HRIS / DATA QUALITY↑ Back to top

Finding 57 people missing from an enrollment file

Reconciled approximately 750 benefits records and identified 57 people absent from an enrollment file, then built a revised file that passed structural validation.

~750records reviewed
57people identified
3expected validation flags

The challenge

An enrollment file and the source HR system represented people and coverage differently. Missing identifiers, duplicate roles and separate source reports made an apparently straightforward comparison unreliable.

My approach

  • Established the HR system as the comparison source, distinguishing missing rows, unexpected rows and mismatched rows.
  • Consolidated multiple reports and built a repeatable Excel reconciliation using normalized identifiers, fallback matching and diagnostic checks.
  • Mapped the missing population into the carrier file format and checked the revised file with the carrier-provided validator. Sensitive person-level data stayed outside AI tools.

What the work established

Identified 57 people missing from the file and produced a revised file that passed the carrier validator with three expected flags. Final carrier acceptance and individual coverage outcomes are not claimed.

Focus areas: HRIS Reconciliation · Excel · Benefits Data · Privacy-Aware Workflows

SYSTEMS / AI PRODUCT DESIGN↑ Back to top

Designing HR workflows for an AI-native system

Translated complex HR processes into structured employee journeys, role boundaries, policy rules and testable product scenarios.

Policydesign
Roleboundaries
Scenariotesting

The challenge

A natural-language HR experience still needs predictable underlying rules. If a conversational interface sounds correct but cannot enforce permissions or finish a workflow, it has not solved the operational problem.

My approach

  • Structured employee lifecycle scenarios around explicit policies and actions rather than free-form responses alone.
  • Worked through permissions for employees, managers, HR and administrative functions to make appropriate access boundaries visible in the design.
  • Developed synthetic testing scenarios and expected results to distinguish plausible-sounding output from complete, accurate behavior.

What the work established

Produced structured design and test artifacts and surfaced gaps between conversational behavior and underlying system actions. This work represents product development and testing, not a claim of production release or customer adoption.

Focus areas: HRIS Product Design · Workflow Mapping · Role-Based Access · AI QA

WORKDAY / DATA CONVERSION↑ Back to top

Bridging a legacy HRIS and a Workday implementation

Provided client-side technical support during a legacy HRIS-to-Workday migration, focusing on conversion, integrations, security and dependencies.

TwoHRIS platforms
Loadsequencing
Riskvisibility

The challenge

A migration involves more than moving columns. Supervisory organizations, job structures, positions and workers have dependencies, while incomplete source data and unclear security ownership can create problems late in the project.

My approach

  • Reviewed source-to-target conversion dependencies and the order required for Workday data loads.
  • Compared source reports against conversion needs and called out missing fields and unresolved data ownership.
  • Supported integration troubleshooting and security review while coordinating questions with implementation partners.

What the work established

Documented conversion risks and dependencies before the affected loads. Implementation and go-live outcomes remain outside the claims made here.

Focus areas: Workday · Legacy HRIS · EIB · Data Conversion · Security Review

INTEGRATIONS / ROOT CAUSE↑ Back to top

Turning integration complexity into clarity

Supported governance across 140+ HRIS integrations and diagnosed cross-system failures by working backward from business impact.

140+integrations in scope
Rootcause focus
Clearownership

The challenge

Large integration landscapes accumulate unclear owners, inconsistent documentation and handoffs between teams. A technical fix alone is fragile when nobody understands why something failed or who supports it next.

My approach

  • Reviewed integration inventories, supporting context, system relationships and ownership to prioritize clarification and cleanup.
  • Investigated integration issues by separating file transport, authentication, transformation and downstream business process behavior.
  • Documented root causes and recommended clearer support ownership instead of presenting troubleshooting as a one-time fix.

What the work established

Improved visibility into integration scope and support questions and produced actionable troubleshooting findings. This does not imply every integration was rebuilt, standardized or retired.

Focus areas: Workday Integrations · SFTP · PGP · ServiceNow · Governance

SYSTEMS / OPERATIONS↑ Back to top

Building systems a growing team can run

Helped a rapidly growing organization establish repeatable collaboration, onboarding, support and internal technology practices.

Cloudmigration
Sharedknowledge
Repeatableprocesses

The challenge

When an organization grows quickly, important work tends to live in inboxes, informal habits and a handful of people. The resulting risk is not just inefficient tooling, but unclear ownership and difficult handoffs.

My approach

  • Supported a company-wide collaboration-platform transition, including planning, information organization and employee guidance.
  • Helped structure shared knowledge, onboarding, procurement and service workflows with practical owners and reusable documentation.
  • Reviewed operational and vendor decisions through the lenses of access, cost, support continuity and day-to-day usability.

What the work established

Created and supported foundational operating processes and documentation. The case focuses on delivered structures and contributions, without claiming unverified adoption rates or savings.

Focus areas: Microsoft 365 · SharePoint · Operations · Enablement · Change Management
